QUALIFICATION STANDARDS OF ASSESSORS

2. Emergency Medical Technician – Basic Medical graduate possessing additional qualification in Emergency Medicine or Post Graduate Diploma in EMS; MBBS with 5 years of experience, 3 years of mandatory experience in Emergency Department (along with certification in ACLS ATLS) OR BSc Nursing with 7 years of experience, 5 year of mandatory experience in Emergency Department (along with certification in ACLS ATLS) OR BSc Emergency Medical Services with 5 years of experience, 3 years of mandatory experience in Emergency Department (along with certification in ACLS ATLS) OR HSSC certified NSQF Level 5 EMT-A with 5 years of experience, 3 years of mandatory experience in Emergency Department (along with certification in ACLS ATLS)
3. Emergency medical technician – Advanced Medical graduate possessing additional qualification in Emergency Medicine or Post Graduate Diploma in EMS; M.D in Emergency Medicine with 1 year of experience in Emergency Department OR MBBS with 5 years of experience, 3 years of mandatory experience in Emergency Department (along with certification in ACLS ATLS) OR BSc Nursing with 7 years of experience, 5 year of mandatory experience in Emergency Department (along with certification in ACLS ATLS) OR BSc Emergency Medical Services with 5 years of experience, 3 years of mandatory experience in Emergency Department (along with certification in ACLS ATLS) OR HSSC certified NSQF Level 5 EMT-A with 5 years of experience, 3 years of mandatory experience in Emergency Department (along with certification in ACLS ATLS)
4. Histo-technician B.Sc. MLT with 5 years of experience in Histopathology, or Medical graduate with post graduate degree in Pathology with two years experience in Histopathology or Diploma in MLT with 10 years of experience in Histopathology
5. Radiology technician B.Sc. in Radiology with five years experience or Medical graduate with post graduate degree in Radiology with two years experience
6. Cardiac care technician Graduate in Cardiac Care/Cath Lab with five years experience or Medical graduate with post graduate degree in cardiology with two years experience or MBBS doctor (preferably 5 year experience in cardiac care) or Diploma in Cath Lab with ten years experience
7. Operation theatre technician Diploma in OT technician/OT assistant with ten years experience or B.Sc. Nursing with 5 years experience of working in operation theatre or MS Doctor with 2 years experience or Medical Graduate with 3 year of experience as assistant in operation theatre
8. Anesthesia technician MD in anesthesia with 2 years experience or Medical Graduate with 5 years of experience under MD Anesthesia doctor or B.Sc. nursing/ GNM with 7 years of experience as assistant under MD Anesthesia or Diploma in anaesthesia with 5 years of experience
9. Blood bank technician B.Sc. MLT with 5 years of experience in Blood Banking, or Medical graduate with post graduate degree in Pathology with two years experience in Blood Banking
10. Phlebotomy technician B.Sc. MLT with 3 years of phlebotomy experience, or B.Sc/M.Sc./PhD in Medical biochemistry/Medical Microbiology/clinical pathology with 3 years of phlebotomy experience or Medical graduate with post graduate degree in Pathology/ Microbiology/ Laboratory Medicine/ Biochemistry with two years experience; or Nurse ANM/GNM/A grade with 5 years of phlebotomy experience or DMLT with 5 years of experience.
11. Dialysis technician B.Sc. in dialysis technician with two year of experience in dialysis center/department or Medical Graduate with three year of experience in dialysis center/department or BSc. nursing/ GNM with ten year of experience in dialysis center/department or Diploma in Dialysis with 10 years of experience in dialysis center/department or MD/DNB (Nephrology/Urology)
12. Diabetes Educator Medical Graduate with two years experience in diabetes counseling or GNM/A grade [B.Sc. nursing] nurse preferably with five years experience in diabetes counseling or Health worker with five experience in diabetes counseling or B.Sc. home science with 5 year of dietetics experience (dietician/Nutritionist).
13. Refractionist MS Ophthalmology with two years experience or Medical Graduate with 5 years of experience under MS Ophthalmology in ophthalmology department/centre or B.Sc. in optometry with three years of experience under MS Ophthalmology in ophthalmology department/centre or Optometrist with 5 years of experience under MS Ophthalmology in ophthalmology department/centre or BSc. nursing/ GNM with 7 years of experience under MS Ophthalmology in ophthalmology department/centre
14. Vision technician MS Ophthalmology with two years experience or Medical Graduate with 5 years of experience under MS Ophthalmology in ophthalmology department/centre or B.Sc. in optometry with three years of experience under MS Ophthalmology in ophthalmology department/centre or Optometrist with 5 years of experience under MS Ophthalmology in ophthalmology department/centre or BSc. nursing/ GNM with 7 years of experience under MS Ophthalmology in ophthalmology department/centre
15. Medical Laboratory Technician B.Sc. MLT with 5 years of experience, or B.Sc/M.Sc./PhD in Medical biochemistry/Medical Microbiology/clinical pathology with 5 years experience or Medical graduate with post graduate degree in Pathology/ Microbiology/ Laboratory Medicine/ Biochemistry with two years experience; DCP; DMLT with 10 years of experience
16. Home Health Aide (HHA) GNM with five years experience or A grade [B.Sc. nursing] nurse preferably with three years experience
17. Diet Assistant B.Sc. in Dietetics or nutrition with at least three years of experience or B.Sc. (Nursing) with five years of experience in Dietary Department or GNM with seven years of experience in Dietary Department
18. Dental Assistant BDS with at least 3-5 years of experience
19. Pharmacy Assistant M. Pharma with 2 years of experience or B. Pharma with 3 years of experience or Diploma in Pharma with 5 years of experience.
20. Medical Records and Health Information technician Medical/Nursing Graduate with 3 years of experience in Medical Record Department or B.Sc. in MRD with 5 years of experience.
21. Medical Equipment Technician Bio Medical Engineer with 5 years of experience
22. Speech Audio therapy Assistant Speech Language Pathologist Audiologist with 2years of experience in Speech Language Audiology or Medical/Nursing Graduate with 5years of experience in Speech Language Audiology or B.Sc. graduate with 10 years of experience in Speech Language Audiology
23. Assistant Physiotherapist M.PT. with 2 years experience or B.PT with 3 years of experience
24. Front Line Health Worker Medical/Nursing Graduate with post-graduation in public health (MPH) with 1 year of experience in community health ; Medical graduate with 3 years of experience in community health; ANM/B.Sc Nursing/GNM with 5 years of experience in community health, B.Sc. in Community Health with 3 years of experience in community health.
25. X Ray Technician B.Sc. in Radiology with 3 years experience or Medical graduate with post graduate degree in Radiology with 1 years experience or Diploma in Radiology/X-Ray with 5 years of experience
26. Radiation Therapy Technologist B.Sc. in Radiation Therapy with 5 years experience or Medical graduate with post graduate degree in Oncology with 2 years experience or Medical/Nursing graduate with at least 5 years of experience in oncology or radiation therapy department
27. Dento-oral Hygienist BDS with atleast 5 years of experience or Diploma in Dental Hygienist with atleast 7 years of experience
28. Dental Technician BDS with atleast 5 years of experience or Diploma in Dental Lab Technician with atleast 7 years of experience.
  • The Assessors’ qualification criteria is set by the HSSC. Given above is an indicative qualification criteria which may subject to revision by HSSC time to time. However, Organizations applying for HSSC Accreditation as Assessing Bodies may take this as guiding criteria while empanelling assessors.
  • HSSC may consider other qualification in certain situations after interview/panel discussion on case to case basis.
